Vision

To provide an opportunity for children with a disability or from low socio-economic backgrounds to register for the Cricket Blast program at a significantly reduced cost.

The Taverners support the Woolworths cricket blast program by funding up to $75 per voucher provided to disadvantaged children.

The program operates throughout Australia and uses Cricket Australia’s team of regional cricket managers to identify appropriate youngsters.

The lowest socio-economic schools in Australia are be identified, based on the Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage (ICSEA) provided by ACARA and provided to SACA. All specialist schools are also eligible to address the significant gap in participation amongst kids with a disability in registered programs, with a focus on kids who are blind, deaf, having necessitous circumstances or have an intellectual disability to align with our existing high-performance pathway for cricketers with a disability.

RCMs are provided with a plastic Sporting Chance Fund Gift Card that will offer a discount of up to $75 to register for Cricket Blast programs which they will distribute to teachers at the completion of the school clinic to pass onto kids/parents who are interested in joining a Woolworths Cricket Blast program.
